Christmas night
It was the night before Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.
As I looked out my window I saw the bright moon
I knew that Santa was coming soon.
Suddenly footsteps filled the air
And then I knew that he was there.
As just then I heard a very big bang
From the comfort of my bed I sprang.
I heard the crunching of cookies and slurping of milk
As I put my shoes on, that felt like silk.
Down the stairs I climbed
As the clock chimed.
Surprised I felt
As all I could see was Santa’s black belt.
cool poem I like the part were you rote 'slurping of milk'.
